Center for Puppetry Arts – Passport to Puppetry
Georgia families can now pay a free visit to Big Bird, the Fraggles, Wayland Flowers’ Madame, and a host of other popular puppet characters by using a library card. The “Passport to Puppetry” is valid for up to four free museum admissions – a potential savings of up to $33 per family. Parties with children must include at least one adult. The museum provides educational fun with more than 350 puppets from around the world, highlighting the fact that every civilization on our planet has its own unique form of puppetry tradition. In addition to four free museum admissions, the pass also entitles library patrons to attend a performance at the Center and/or participate in a Create-a-Puppet Workshop at a 25% discount, when space is available.
Georgians with public library cards can check out a Georgia State Park “ParkPass” and Historic Site Pass. The ParkPass exempts you from paying the daily $5 parking fee at state parks, and the Historic Sites Family Pass exempts up to 4 visitors from admission fees to state historic sites operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. View the Zoo Atlanta DVD and receive a free family pass to Zoo Atlanta. After viewing you will receive a receipt; this is what you will use for Zoo admission. Present your Zoo Atlanta Family Pass receipt and your library card at the Zoo Atlanta front gate for admission. The pass is good for 14 days from the date on the receipt showing the return of the DVD. The Pass is valid for up to four guests; standard general admission will apply to families larger than four. The pass is valid for general admission only and may not be used for fee-based events or programs. Not valid with any other discount, offer or promotion; may not be redeemed for cash.
Go Fish Education Center Pass
The Go Fish Education Center takes visitors on an educational journey through Georgia’s watersheds to learn about our diverse aquatic wildlife, their natural habitats and the impacts of water pollution. Beyond that, the Center serves as a great resource of fishing information for any level of angler – where to go, what to use and when. Visitors can see freshwater aquariums, explore underwater habitats, view aquatic wildlife- including live alligators and turtles, try out interactive fishing and boating simulators, and so much more.
